Summary

At OneHope we strive to provide the transformational Word of God to children and youth around the world. The Database Junior Administrator contributes to further our mission through providing support to our Fundraising and Advocacy efforts by stewarding the integrity of donor information and maintenance of Virtuous and related databases. Collaborates with the implementation of new database features, as well data segmentation, and database coding system.

Key Responsibilities       
  • Works with Database Manager in administrative functions including user account management, profiles, roles, permission sets. Assist in the management of custom fields, tags, workflow rules, record types, codes, and other data customization tools.
  • Works with lead to establish and implement best practices, system maintenance, security improvements, data integrity, duplicates and backups.
  • Troubleshoot issues within the system and escalate as needed.
  • Supports the management and execution of bulk import, exports, and updates of data such as NCOA updates,  phone appends, and contact archiving. Assist with ongoing data integrity and data hygiene tasks. Manage deduplication process.
  • Contributes with the development and maintenance of documentation of system configuration, customization and functionality, and provides training to end users.
  • Assist with the maintenance of various report types.
  • Segmentation and data pulls for Direct Mail and other specialized mailings as needed.
  • Initiate and care for OneHope partners through Culture of Engagement assignments, specifically Prayer Calling, or as assigned by leadership. Attend required training, and fulfill all COE duties in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with other team members to design and implement strategies for the pursuit of various Advancement goals as directed by leadership.  The objectives and outcomes of Advancement are not separate from every team member's personal objectives, but are owned by each person on the team.

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Fluency with Virtuous CRM, proficiency in Microsoft Office, Dropbox, Basecamp and other relevant platforms, especially Excel for reporting purposes
  • A self-starter able to work with minimal supervision and set priorities in a complex and rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to understand the big picture and how the details work together to accomplish each desired outcome
  • A proactive thinker who can see changing needs and provide reporting and analysis to support them
  • Detail oriented and able to spot discrepancies in data and reporting, as well as research and reconcile these discrepancies
  • Can clearly explain and document database issues/bugs, as well as development requests, to submit support tickets to the Virtuous team
  • Committed to continuous training on the job as the environment lends itself to rapidly changing technology
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience

Work Environment

  • Monday – Friday  during business hours (9:00 AM-5:00 PM)
