OneHope, a faith-based non profit organization, is looking for a Lead Content Creator who is not just a writer but a creative storyteller. This individual will be the driving force behind our narrative, crafting compelling stories and copy, and leading imaginative brainstorming sessions. Job Summary: As the Lead Content Creator, you will be the lead storyteller and creative in our Advancement team. Your role goes beyond writing; it's about shaping narratives, sparking ideas, and leading creative brainstorming sessions to captivate our audience and support OneHope's mission.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Uphold a courteous, Christ-like attitude when interacting with people, both within and outside of OneHope.
Participate in partner care through the ministry's Culture of Engagement initiative.
Collaborate with team members to design and implement strategies aligned with Advancement goals.

Storytelling & Copywriting:

Translate the Advancement strategy plan into powerful copy and stories that drive desired actions to support OneHope's mission.
Deepen the understanding of target audiences and document compelling stories for them.
Manage content development for print and digital fundraising and marketing campaigns, partnering with other workgroups.
Write both short and long-form pieces for website, email, and social media to elevate online presence, raise funds, and advance the mission.
Translate complex issues into compelling and accessible content, acting as OneHope's "in-house reporter."
Provide support to Executive Team and Cabinet members in preparing talking points, key messages, and editorial pieces for ministry events and conferences.

Creative Brainstorming:

Lead imaginative brainstorming sessions to inspire innovative content ideas and marketing strategies.
Foster a creative environment that encourages team members to contribute their unique ideas.

Content Ideation:

Identify opportunities for content creation from the stories we get from the field teams and translate them into powerful narratives that engage audiences.
Responsible for creating a content calendar that will maximize the use of written and video storytelling in all of our print and digital media.
Ideates packaged content for strategic activities like proposals, toolkits, and digital/print pieces.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in related fields, such as English, journalism, marketing, or communications.
5+ years of professional writing and editorial experience, preferably for an international nonprofit.
Previous experience as a content creator with a proven track record of producing engaging content.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Highly adaptable.
Collaborative mindset, working closely with strategists, designers, and project managers.
Ability to manage multiple projects with short deadlines.
Cross-culturally sensitive.
Creative with an acute attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Dropbox, Microsoft Teams, Basecamp, and other relevant platforms.
Knowledge or proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite is an added benefit.

Work Environment:

Monday to Friday during regular business hours (9 AM-5 PM).
International work may require flexibility to accommodate different time zones.
Occasional travel, both domestic and international, may be necessary.
